Christmas at the Coop (December 9 & December 15, 2022) 
Bring your family out to enjoy the annual Christmas at the Coop celebration. There will be pictures with Santa, art activities, hot cocoa and treats, a seek and find, candy cane lane photo opportunity, and a mini art show.

An artistic celebration of love, life, and color for the holidays.

The Nightmare Before Christmas Exhibit (November 18-20, 2022)
The holidays are a time of emotions and this show is about bringing together pieces of work that embody this feeling. Angelo State University Fine Arts Club presents a group show of these works.

SPOOKshow (October 7th -8th, 2022) 
Join us for an absolutely haunting evening of spooktacular artwork, fun costumes, prizes, and tasty treats! On display will be artwork from 7 local artists in the spirit of all things SPOOKY! Bobby Whitlock (September 22 - October 2, 2022)
Bobby Whitlock is a creative soul. In April of 2018, he took up painting being compelled to do so. Since that day, he has painted over 1,800 works. Bobby has managed to tap into that inner something that he can express on canvas. He made his mark in the music world back in the early 1970's in a band co-founded with Eric Clapton called Derek & The Dominos. He was co writer to many of the songs that appeared on "Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs" including "Bell Bottom Blues",  " Why Does Love Got to Be So Sad", "Anyday", "Keep on Growing", "Tell the Truth", "I Looked Away", and "Thorn Tree in the Garden".

Moment of Introspection ( July 14 & 15, 2022)
Where each piece invites the viewer to explore how they see themselves and others. Sculptures by Kevin Stanford and paintings by Julio Gonzalez.

Stolen Art ( June 30 - July 2, 2022)
Exploring the complexities of Copyright and Fair Use in art.

Bringing Gaudy Back ( June 10 & June 13 - 18, 2022)
Susan M. Self and Sherry Talley create their works using acrylic paint and mixed media. They reuse old reclaimed canvases and objects (wood roots, horns and sculls, old boots, bottles, found treasures) to make beautiful objects out of the unexpected and bring them back to life in a new way.

Artists for Mental Health Awareness (May 20, 2022)
An evening of exploring Mental Health Awareness through the compass of the arts. Many pieces have been inspired by the artist's own personal journeys and discoveries on the path to finding healthy coping mechanisms, understanding, and healing. Artists include Bekah, Baxter, Kassie Dilworth, Megan Gentry, Megan Rufenacht, Tori San Miguel, Kat Truth, Shaydee Watson, Pamela Bailey Upton.

What Were You Wearing? An exhibit by Open Arms Rape Crisis Center & LGBT+ Services (April 29, 2022)
An art instillation of outfits replicated from sexual assault victims' accounts. There will also be art pieces created by local artists with survivorship themes. If you need help and are looking for a way to reach out, please visit their website at openarmscv.com or by calling 325-655-2000.

"e.motives" A Water Valley Artist Society Group Art Exhibition (April 22-23, 2022)
For our studio artists, we felt that our works connect to emotions fused with our motivations to create. We hope that this art exhibition inspires an emotive and reflective response from our viewers. These collections of art works are from this year’s studies and are a glimpse of what our courses create throughout the year. This group exhibition contains mostly Art 2, 3 and 4 artists’ works with some selections from our HS and JH foundations courses. This exhibition, which includes paintings, mixed media, drawings, sculptures and prints connect to the elements of art, art history and the experimental processes of art making and content building. This exhibition was curated by their instructor, Christopher Voss and will be juried by attendees at the gallery.

2022 Student Ceramic Show (April 8-10, 2022)
Students from Ambleside School, Central High School, Angelo State University and Concho Clay Studio each submitted up to 1 ceramic piece for this first time ceramic student show as part of the 24th San Angelo National Ceramic Competition

Students showcased their 2D and 3D works.

Wall High School Student Showcase (February 20, 2022)
Students have created art using a variety of mediums and will compete in the TAEA sponsored VASE art contest.

Fine Art Club presents LOVE (February 10-12, 2022)
When students at ASU were asked about love, many whipped out their phone and quoted lyrics to songs.  Some avoided the “too personal” topic while other colleagues sent beautiful words on romance, responsibility, and mortality.  There were tears and kisses, and people dashing off texts after an opinion was given. Conclusion:  Love is personal.

Tattoo Artist Collective Exhibit (January 6-9, 2022)
17 artists from 5 different tattoo shops in San Angelo with paintings and drawings in mixed media, oil, watercolor, and charcoal. Shops participating in the exhibit: Lucky-Hand Tattoo, Trufant Brothers Tattoo, Dreams Don't Die, Inkfuzed Tattoo,  Inkland Tattoo.

Exhibition of paintings by local artists presented to the community of San Angelo. The 2nd edition of Art & Culture Connection Magazine offers a glimpse into the rich arts and culture district that San Angelo has to offer, for the enjoyment of the community and the surrounding area.

Memento Vitae - Remember Life (October 8-10, 2021)
Pandemic & Post pandemic life has offered a new perspective for students returning to campus. This show explores the road back to reality for our Friday Art Club members.

Lakeview & Lincoln Hispanic Inspired Art (September 24-25, 2021)
LakeView and Lincoln students displayed their Fiesta Family Patrias artworks in the Coop Gallery.

SAMFA's Staff Art Show (August 20, 2021)

Resolute: Water Valley Artist Society Art Exhibition (May 28 & 29, 2021)
"Resolute" contains a variety of upper level and foundational artworks by the Water Valley Art Department. The title of the exhibition is fitting as resolute is defined as being purposeful, determined and unwavering in the face of obstacles. That is what our art department has accomplished through this year of uncertainty and instability. This group exhibition contains mostly our Art 2, 3 and 4 artists works and includes our foundations artists printmaking studies. This exhibition, which includes paintings, sculptures and drawings and prints which are connected to art history and the experimentation of art processes,  is curated by their instructor Christopher Voss.

What Are You Wearing? (April 29-30, 2021)
April is Sexual Assault Awareness month. The main goal of "What Are You Wearing?" is to promote awareness about sexual violence and to combat victim-blaming.

Chicken and the Clay: A 50 Year Legacy (April 23, 2021)
A collections of San Angelo potters from the Chicken Farm Art Center will be showcases their beautiful works at the Coop Gallery for one day only. Artists include Vicki Hardin, Joe Morgan, Kassie Dilworth, Horacio Casillas, and RA Pottery.

Altered States (February 26-27, 2021)
A group of eleven artists focus on the exploration of consciousness through its many forms.

Working 2 gether (February 13, 2020)
A collaborative body of work between father, Joel Quintella, and daughter, JoElla Mendez. They use a variety of media and techniques to create their works.

Sixty Sage (November 29 - December 1, 2019)
A display of how life in the west, influences Katie Probandt's work as a lifestyle and family photographer.

The Art Expo (November 21-23, 2019)
The ASU Friday Art Club showcased original works from both students and faculty from Angelo State University. A variety of mediums were on display.

Snap Happy Photography Club (November 9, 2019)
The Snap Happy Photography Club exhibited works from various Angelo State University club members.

Squared (October 17, 2019)
Shaydee Watson brought together a collection of her "Littles" as she calls them that encompass tiny imagery in a 2 inch square box.

Through The Years (September 19-21, 2019)
Nicole Clemens' current body of work is a colorful dance of abstracted landscapes, incorporating parts of the human form, the moon, and symbols she finds purposeful and meaningful. Her exhibit will showcasee pieces she completed here in Texas, before she leaves on new adventures for her new landscape; The Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

Verdandi's solo show, exhibited her Maiden and Shield dot art collections.

Mixed and Meaningful (August 15, 2019)
Artist Andrea Landers brings together an eclectic collection of paintings, drawings and collage, with an underlying theme of beauty redeemed from chaos.

Altered States (August 7, 2019)
A ceramic exhibit by Angelo State University students showing off their works from their Ceramics 1, 2, & 3 classes. All the works exhibited were fired with alternative firing processes.

Ceramics by Johnathan Shearer (June 28, 2019)
Johnathan Shearer graduated from Lewis & Clark College with a degree in Ceramics. His exhibit showcased the body of work created in his final year attending Lewis & Clark College.

As a group, the ASU Art Club students explored sight and eyes in this eclectic art exhibit.

Chicken Farm Potters: Past & Present (April 12, 2019) 
Chicken Farmers from both past and present are having an exhibit opening of their pottery in the Coop Gallery at 427 S. Oakes St. There will be seven artists exhibiting, including works from the late Roger Allen. Artists include: Cody Clinton, Ashley Crumley, Kassie Dilworth, Eric Grasham, Vicki Hardin, Joe Morgan and pieces of Roger Allen's from the Starkeeper Gallery.

Signification (April 5-7, 2019) The "signification" art exhibition included art color theory and mixed media studies by the Water Valley Artist Society art students. These student artists created art that connects to many design principles such as color, value, visual and actual texture, variety, shape, line, and other mixed media applications.

Concho Valley Woodturners Exhibit (March 21-23, 2019) The Concho Valley Woodturners exhibited a variety of their remarkable creations and each piece was unique and hand made.

SAMFA Museum Staff Exhibit (February 21 & 23, 2019) The Museum's employees showcased their own artworks in an eclectic exhibit at the Coop Gallery. Each employee has a passion for artwork, which has led them to join the museum staff over the years. There was a variety of mediums and styles on display for the public to enjoy.

Kara D Fashion Exhibit (February 16, 2019) Kara D will be showcasing her fashion works from her senior show at the Art Institute.

2018

Exploring the Elements of Art (November 15 & 17, 2018) A display of student prints, paintings, drawings, digital photography, and short films, made by 8th graders from Glenn Middle School.

Zoos Without Bars (November 9 - 11, 2018) Art themed around the animal kingdom. From the majestic aspects of wildlife to the human interactions with the beasts of our world.

Molly Archer: Nouvelle Vi (October 11 & 13, 2018)
Molly Archer's solo exhibition is an all new series of abstract paintings. Each piece consists of a blended colorful palette of rich dark layers covered and peeking through light pastels and bright colors with layers of gold leaf accents.

Women of Steel (September 21,2018)
Featuring Michelle Cuevas, Elaine May, and Shaydee Watson. Bringing together 3 local San Angelo women artists showcasing a light hearted, exciting exhibit.

Kim Leabo: Awakened (May 17 & 19, 2018)
"Awakened" is the emergence of new artist Kim Leabo. Each piece is inspired from her personal life experience. This collection is non-object and abstract. It is meant to be interpreted differently by each viewer. Pieces are colorful and inovke different emotions for all.

"re-Constructs" A Collective Visual Dialogue (May 4-6, 2018)
The "re-Constructs" art exhibition contains a variety of studies from both Water Valley Artist Society of Water Valley ISD and Angelo University art students. Art works on exhibit include mixed media narratives and portraits, still life and altered object drawings, figure studies, video, color theory paintings and mixed media sculpture studies in this collective art exhibition. This exhibition is being curated by Christopher Voss, Art Instructor of the Water Valley ISD and Adjunct Professor of Art at Angelo State University.

Moments in Time (April 27, 2018)
An exhibit of digital photographs produced by students from Angelo State University who are currently enrolled in the Advanced Photography class.

2018 Six Pack Show (April 20-22, 2018)
This was our 20th annual Six Pack show, in conjunction with San Angelo Museum of Arts Ceramic Weekend. All ceramic artwork pieces in the show fit within the space of a six pack of longneck bottles.

The Fabled Show (February 15, 2018)
A group of students that create art in a studio space to help each other to get more experience in the art field. Participating artists include Johnny Le, Edith Perez, Jazmin Luna, Jill Murray, Taylor Page, Vincent Tanner, Yesika Ramos, Sarah Campbell, Derrick Clifton, Alayna Turney, Andrea Thomas.

2017

Adrian Dominguez & Bailey Upton Art Exhibition (November 13 - 17, 2017) A collection of oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings that showcase numerous issues in society as well as unique forms of self expression. A mixture of surrealism, realism and minimalism.

ASU Students Study Abroad Art Exhibit (September 22-24, 2017) A collection of works Angelo State University students put together to raise funds to go towards a study abroad program in Nepal.

eclectic (May 19-21, 2017) This group exhibition contains a collection of visual engagements by the artists of the Water Valley Artist Society, Water Valley ISD Art Department. These works contain both visual works and written statements that contain in-depth conceptual visual dialog through the eclectic array of studies.

Art by Ashley Perales (April 29, 2017 from 6 - 9 pm) Bright, colorful works of art by Ashley Perales. Realistic depictions of nature such as plants, birds, and other animals. All proceeds from show are to raise money for Ashley's study abroad trip.

Beginning (April 21-22, 2017) A group exhibit of Potter Doug Oertli & his current & former ceramicists.

Aqua Squad Presents: WaterLESS World (August 18, 2016) Aqua Squad is a group of 10 students from San Angelo Independent School district that spend the summer learning about water issues in our community and how to interpret that information for public use. The 7th and 8th graders become water ambassadors for the Concho Valley and represent San Angelo across the United States.

Friday Art Club (November 19 - 21, 2015) Ten Angelo State University art students exhibit works in a variety of mediums including a collaborative piece painted by all ten artists.

Delirium (October 9 - October 10, 2015) A group of seven local San Angelo artists held an opening of their work, which included painting, drawing, mixed media, pottery, film and a live music performance.
