Youth Ceramics 101 | Concho Clay Studio

About This Course

Looking for a new art form to get your hands dirty with? Maybe you’re looking to explore an art form that ends with something you can use in your day-to-day life. Look no further than the art of ceramics!

Sign up now for Youth Ceramics 101!

This four-week course, designed for ages 9-12, teaches all the introductory fundamentals one needs to know when beginning to work with ceramics. Students will learn techniques such as coiling, slab building, and pinching to create functional or sculptural pieces. Beyond these skills, students will learn about clay consistencies, basic stools, and the various stages of clay and the glazing processes that result in a finished creation.

Classes are hands-on with instructor demonstrations. No experience needed! Students will receive their own clay as needed for each project.
