Making art accessible both in and out of the classroom.

Education Outreach & Field Trips

SAMFA Field Trips

guided Field trips for schools

San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts offers educational and engaging field trips for students around the Concho Valley. Students will experience hands-on activities while learning all about the facilities and exhibits at SAMFA. To arrange a school field trip, please contact the museum schools and families program manager, Jennifer Perez, at schoolsandfamilies@samfa.org.

Each field trip includes:

  • One gallery tour at SAMFA (45 minutes)

  • Four studio sessions (45 minutes)

  • An art show for parents and teachers in the Coop Gallery

We cannot accommodate groups exceeding 75 students. Due to limited space in our galleries and the fragile nature of the artwork, we cannot provide a safe nor meaningful experience for groups larger than 75. Groups exceeding 100 students, or groups with limited time constraints, are welcome to enjoy a self-guided outdoor tour of the art museum and the surrounding cultural district.
