Art Thursdays are designed to spark creativity in all ages, offering a welcoming space to explore art together. SAMFA’s commitment to art accessibility makes it a perfect afternoon activity for both returning visitors and new families.
This January, we're doing some fun crafts each Thursday such as:
Hot Cocoa Cups
Mosaic Landscapes
Printmaking
No age limit! Art Thursdays are for everyone —from ages 3 to 300. Bring friends, bring family, or just bring yourself! Join us in celebrating creativity, connection, and community.
Art Thursdays are generously sponsored by HEB, Sterling-Turner Foundation, and Texas Commission on the Arts.
- Exhbition Opening Reception: Honoring a Texas Legacy05:30 PM - 08:00 PMSAMFA Galleries & Grand HallSee major contributions to early Texas art and learn more about Bill Cheek's incredible legacy. This event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be provided.
