Visiting Artist Series

Sunday, September 6th, 9-12 PM

This 3-day workshop is for both beginners and the experienced. Celebrating the beauty of the human form, each student will sculpt a head and neck bust in ceramic clay. Students will use a combination approach of lecture, demonstration, diagrams, and proportional calipers to create their bust. Jeff will guide each student through the basics of unlocking the wonderful world of sculpture!

Students can leave their work to be fired by Concho Clay and pick it up later, or take it home to continue working on it. For additional access to the studio, students can sign up for a day pass, an open studio pass, or a workshop that includes open studio access for an additional fee.

There will be a one-hour lunch break; students are responsible for their own lunch.

Clay is included in the workshop fee. The studio has communal tools available for students. Each student will receive a PDF that includes the tools you can expect to use if you would like to purchase or bring your own.
