We the People: Portraits of Veterans in America by Mary Whyte

Acclaimed watercolorist Mary Whyte’s We the People: Portraits of Veterans in America, is a moving tribute to the military veterans who are an essential part of the strength and fabric of our country.  A unique and unprecedented collection of fifty large-scale watercolors that depict a veteran from every state, Whyte has created a collective portrait of our nation suffused with dignity, courage and honor.  The Missouri dairy farmer, Nebraska female boxing trainer, Florida astronaut, California homeless man and Tennessee barber—plus forty-five other portrayals of present-day American citizens—show us how veterans find meaning in life after service, and the hard-won freedoms for which they fought.
