San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts

A Time of Remembrance

Featuring Mexican church statuary, santos and religious art from the Museum’s permanent collection, a gift of Fred Pottinger and Hamp and Bonnie Beesley, the exhibit will be both a remembrance of those who have passed away as well as a celebration of their lives. The exhibit is meant to inspire and help encourage thought and reflection, and will include essays by community leaders that will reflect on remembering loved ones who are no longer with us. Some of the writers include Mayor J.W. Lown, Bishop Pfeifer, and police chief Tim Vasquez among others. The theme of remembrance coincides with the opening of the exhibits on September 11 and the memories of all those who perished on that sad day in 2001.

The Time of Remembrance exhibit has received support from The Art and Eva Camuñez Tucker Foundation
