West Texas Triangle: George Tobolowsky
As a member of the West Texas Triangle Consortium of Art Museums the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts is pleased to join its partners in presenting a region-wide exhibition of the work of Dallas sculptor, George Tobolowsky. Opening on June 16 in San Angelo the large sculptural work of Tobolowsky will be displayed on the grounds of the art museum. Other examples of his work will appear at the Old Jail Art Center, Albany; Grace Museum, Abilene; the Museum of the Southwest, Midland; and the Ellen Noël Art Museum, Odessa.

Form & Substance: The Art of George Tobolowsky
This Dallas artist is known for his dynamic and compelling large-scale sculpture, made from discarded steel and scrap metal. Large works will be installed on the museum grounds while the artist’s smaller work will be on display in the upstairs gallery.
George Mendoza: Colors of the Wind
Declared legally blind as a teen-ager, New Mexico artist George Mendoza creates paintings derived from visual memories intertwined with dreams, visions, and emotional experiences. Abstract in nature and brightly colored, his images have recently been selected as fabric designs for Westminster Fibers.
Whatever It Takes - Bert Long
Houston native Bert Long Jr., a self taught artist, received his formal education in Adult Education from UCLA in 1972. Working in a variety of mediums, he has gained national and international recognition throughout his career for his thought provoking art. He describes the philosophy behind his work as "a quest to help people diagnose their inner self,” believing his art to be "the vehicle to help facilitate the process."
